Collaborative Learning in Room 6 and 7:
Room 6 and 7 have begun their Collaborative Teaching and Learning Lessons in Literacy and Numeracy. Essentially both classes begin their lessons together and then break away into three self managing groups.  Each of these groups vary in self managing abilities, one group works in the Learning Centre as completely independent learners. The second group works in Room 7 as monitored learners, while a third group works in Room 6 with the teachers supporting them.  These independent learners have shown great self management and have completed their work to a high standard.  Developing student agency is a major focus for us this term.

Last week we were particularly proud of our Room 7 role models who  acted as tuakana experts and supported the younger Karawha Learners in Room 4 by helping them upskill with their use of the Pic collage app.
