Awesome Learning From Room 6.

Quality Learning from Room 6

Last Friday Room 6 joined the rest of Linwood North School, our whanau and other special guest to celebrate the ‘Breaking of the Ground’ ceremony. This special event gave Room 6 the opportunity to talk about what we thought the future for Linwood North School might look like in a hundred years. From these discussions we listed things that would probably change like our mode of transport, technology, housing, food and fashion. Then we thought about all the things that probably wouldn’t change like people needing shelter, food, water, family and love.  We then collaboratively wrote a poem about our hopes and wishes for the future.

Our Hopes and Wishes for the Future . . .
We want a future of happiness
Where guns and wars don’t exist
We want the baddies to change
We want a world where no one is poor, sick or hungry
We want to live in a place where earthquakes don’t happen
and we never have to worry about them ever again
We want a future where we can ‘time travel’
and no one ever has to die
A place where we can be with our families forever
Going to the beach, the park, having a good time
with our Mums and Dads
A place where we are safe and loved.
